Sheds 3 and 4 sit quietly within the regenerating landscape of Lune de Sang, a 150-hectare rainforest plantation in the Byron hinterland.

Conceived as working buildings for a long-term forestry enterprise, they bring together timber production, creative practice, and education in a single, cohesive setting. Rather than treating industry as something hidden, the sheds make production visible and part of everyday life, allowing the rhythms of making, growing, and learning to unfold side by side.

The sheds are positioned in the clearing to gather the space between them. The sheds are positioned in the clearing to gather the space between them.

The architecture draws from the familiar rural shed but refines it with care and intention. Robust steel forms, simple rooflines, and a restrained material palette give the buildings a calm presence in the landscape. They sit within existing clearings, avoiding unnecessary disturbance, and open generously to light and air. Inside, flexible spaces support workshops, studios, offices, and small gatherings, creating an environment that feels practical yet considered.
