NINE by Mirvac Buildings D & E define a central spine in the re-development of the storied Channel Nine television studios in the northern Sydney suburb of Willoughby. Designed in collaboration with Mirvac Design, the buildings help unlock a prized hilltop site that has been closed to the public for more than 60 years, connecting new residents and the community through an outstanding new public domain and high-quality architecture.

A key point of difference is that amenities are for everyone, not just residents, and are thoughtfully integrated into the ground plane to promote equitable access, visibility and active use. Residents will enjoy this free amenity at their doorstep, along with the benefits of contemporary ‘sky’ living: Abundant light, air and panoramic views, plus all the advantages of a deeply established Lower North Shore suburb so close to the city.

Construction began in November 2020 and completed in early 2024. The result is a pair of richly articulated buildings overlooking a vibrant lanscaped space that honours the rich history of the site – widely acknowledged as the spiritual birthplace of Australian television.
