Bay Wharf - Tweed Heads is a transformative master plan that reimagines the existing Tweed Mall Shopping Centre as a vibrant, mixed-use urban precinct.
Positioned along the Northern NSW coast, the site benefits from its proximity to Coolangatta Airport, major hospitals and universities, with the Gold Coast to the north and Byron Bay to the south. Leveraging strong connections to the Pacific Motorway, Gold Coast Airport and a potential future extension of the Gold Coast Light Rail, the project harnesses exceptional regional connectivity to unlock a new chapter of urban renewal.

The master plan aims to improve the city centre and envisions a green heart for Tweed Heads.
A much greener and accessible city centre.
Visualisation by Choi Render. The master plan strengthens the centre’s role as a vital community hub, enhancing essential services through active place-making, improved pedestrian connectivity and diverse, affordable housing options. Envisioned as a destination for the Northern Rivers and Southern Gold Coast, the precinct celebrates the natural beauty of Tweed Heads while embracing its evolving urban character. Retail, commercial, hotel and residential uses are integrated within a cohesive framework designed to support long-term growth and community uplift.
